The photo shoot I did for the blog I write for Pink Mafia finally came out where I got to dress up like Beth Ditto.
Check it out.
A couple shots from my Beth Ditto inspired shoot were released as a teaser on my blog Pink Mafia
The entire set gets released May 16. So stoked.
Today I dressed as Beth Ditto in a photo shoot for the blog I write for Pink Mafia.
This is just one of the shots from the shoot.
I’m serving up fierce realness.
Toronto has waited a long time for Sebastian to come. Thanks to the wonderful promoters over at Embrace and Hoxton, they brought this Parisian producer over to give Toronto a chance to experience his punchy beats & electro sounds live and in person.

The summer has been good to Adam Granduciel and the guys in Philadelphia-based band War on Drugs. Not only did they release their critically praised (and fan loved) second album, “Slave Ambient”. But they’ve been touring around North America, making a stop in Toronto just prior to album release. I had the chance to catch up with Adam Granduciel who spoke candidly about what Slave Ambient meant to him, what the audience reaction has been and what is life like on the road.
Check out the interview I did with War on Drugs here: http://pinkmafia.ca/blog/2011/09/08/a-slave-to-the-war-on-drugs/

Look at this interview I did with SebastiAn!!

Electro producer SebastiAn, of Ed Banger Records is making the trip to Toronto (finally) for a once in a lifetime appearance at the Hoxton on September 8, 2011.
SebastiAn has been known to produce some of his rad tracks like CTFO or Embody, but he has been huge on the remix scene for some time now putting his touch on track for Daft Punk, Cut Copy and Uffie.
We got SebastiAn to take our infamous 20 Questions and here is what he had to tell us at Pink Mafia:

Alright people if you don’t know who Jillionaire is, get familiar. With over fifteen years of experience, Jillionaire has a unique sound which mashes indie dance with big room house, caribbean rhythms of soca and dancehall and moombahton. He is signed to Mad Decent. He is good friends with Paul Devro and Toddla T. Makes incredible mixes that make you long for the beach (as seen here) and he is playing at Camp Bisco in Mariaville, New York taking place from July 7-9, 2011. If none of that convinced you, then check out the hilarious answers he gave to our 20 Questions.

John Dadzie aka 12th Planet isn’t your typical dubstep DJ. At first glance, he has the fashion sense of a hipster & skater combined. If your parents met him, they would think he’s quite the charmer. But once the sun goes down this tall, skinny, soft-spoken musician puts his pearly whites to bed and let’s the bass take over. This veteran DJ (5+ years) transforms into a presences on stage that captivates every ounce of your attention.
